Designed for the serious wrestler who desires a highly competitive
and intense training experience. All aspects of the sport will be
covered, with special attention paid to the psychological and physical
development of each wrestler. Campers will be exposed to the training
techniques of some of the world's most accomplished wrestlers. During
the week of June 24-28, the 10-day intensive campers will have the
opportunity to test their newly acquired skills by competing against
teams in the Team Camp. The intensive camps represents an excellent
opportunity to really learn how to train like a champion and become
one. Train like the best, with the best!
For 2012, a portion of the Intensive Camp sessions will be held
in the new Friedman Wrestling Center. This facility features three
mats, air-conditioning, a weight training facility, training room
and video review room.
Held on Cornell's hilltop campus, the Intensive camps features
a run session at 7:00 a.m. on several mornings. Wrestlers face the challenge
of Cascadilla Hill, the Crescent Stadium stairs and other demanding
runs! After breakfast campers receive instruction and drill new
techniques. The afternoon sessions includes hard drilling and live
wrestling, while the evening sessions are dedicated to open wrestling
and education about: goal setting, mental preparation, conditioning
methods, nutrition and proper weight loss.
Two Great Camps
June Camp & July Camp
Ages 10-19
Created for teams that desire summer dual-meet competition,
our Team Camps have been developed to maximize learning while providing
an opportunity to compete in many meaningful live matches. We use
proven drilling and instructional methods in conjunction with live
wrestling, in the form of team vs. team dual-meet competition, to
help developer champions. Our coaches will direct individual dual
meets and critique individual and team performance. The team camp
features an hour of instruction followed by a dual meet during each
of the morning, afternoon and evening sessions. Evening sessions
will also include review and work on weaknesses. We welcome requests
for specialized instruction! One coach for every 10 wrestlers can
attend for free when assisting as a camp counselor. Last year, teams
from NY, NJ, PA, MD, VT, FL, LA, VA, CT, MA, ME, OH and SD faced
each other in dual meets.
One coach, for every 10 of his wrestlers enrolling
in camp, may attend for FREE when assisting as a camp counselor.
All coaches must complete each of the following forms and fax back
to the Wrestling Camp office no later than
3 weeks prior to the start camps.
Coaches note: each
of the following forms MUST be submitted 30 days prior
to camp.
Cornell's technique camp is designed for individuals
and teams who seek advanced techniques and drills that help each

renowned coaching staff teaches a philosophy and system of wrestling
that works equally well for beginners through highly advanced wrestlers.
The skills presented have been proven at the collegiate and international
levels.
The technique camp features two hours of instruction
in the morning and afternoon. Evening sessions consist of recreation
options including: swimming, bowling, go-carts, mini-golf, beach
volleyball, movies, etc.
19-Day Camp
