Cornell wrestling camps are superb. They distinguish themselves
from many other camps by what and how they teach. That is, Cornell
instructors only teach techniques that work against the finest wrestlers,
at the highest levels. What is taught works at the D-1 nationals,
and so it works all the better at high school sectional and state
tournaments!
Unlike many other camps, Cornell camps don't overload wrestlers with countless fancy moves that are unrelated to one another. The instruction is on the entire process needed for success - proper move selection, set up, technique, body position, finish. The progression is from one related series to the next, so the wrestler leaves the camp with knowledge he will retain. Finally, the beautiful Cornell campus and first rate facilities cause me to bring my wrestlers here year after year. I highly recommend the Cornell camps to any high school wrestler and his coach. - Craig Benedict Rob Koll's Cornell Team Wrestling Camp has been an ingredient to
our team's success over the past several years. The staff and the
clinicians have been second to none, and the facilities are outstanding.
The team concept has worked out great for both our advanced wrestlers
and our less experienced wrestlers. Our wrestlers look forward to
returning to Cornell's wrestling camp every year.
- Jeff Sweigard The Cornell Summer wrestling camp has been part of my teams program
for years. The coaching staff is one of the most qualified and successful
staff's in the nation. The camps itinerary is designed to teach
a lot of technique and to give a lot of experience through wrestling
live matches. I have seen a great improvement in my wrestlers throughout
the years as well as in my coaching skills.
The kids on my team are excited to go every year as they look forward to gaining valuable experience and team cohesiveness The Cornell camp has been very beneficial to the Scarsdale program and I plan on attending the camp for years to come. Oh, I must mention the great food, which seems to be the talk of the kids every year!! - Brian Roemer I truly believe that Cornell's Wrestling Camp is among of the finest
around and offers an exciting week of wrestling for anyone who attends.
I have brought my high school team for the past nine years and would
highly recommend the program to anyone who is interested in learning
new skills and improving their athletic ability. In addition to
learning from the outstanding and knowledgeable coaching staff who
are always excited to teach new techniques, campers will experience
activities that allow them to form friendships that they will never
forget!
- Scott Ferris Cornell's wrestling team camps have been a staple of the Jesuit
wrestling program for many years. Besides providing top notch instruction,
Coach Koll goes out of his way to make every team and coach feel
welcome at his camps. At Coach Koll's camps your kids will be exposed
to some of the best competition the east coast has to offer (teams
from NY, Pa, and NJ attend), it also provides great opportunities
for team building and leadership as well as building relationships
among coaches and wrestlers that normally would not happen. The
campus and facilities are top notch and well supervised.
I highly recommend Coach Koll's camp for anyone that has not attended. - Carlos Bertot My assistant coaches and I were so impressed with Cornell wrestling
camps and their program as a whole. The Cornell staff leaves no
stone unturned and pays attention to every detail imaginable so
that every HS athlete and every HS coach leaves camp far more improved.
Coach Koll, the Cornell Wrestling team and the entire coaching staff
invite the HS athletes and HS coaches into their program giving
valuable insight into technique, team management, team building
and most importantly, program building as a whole. Our team left
for camp last summer as a young team with very little confidence.
When we came home from camp we were much improved in the areas of
technique, teamwork and mental toughness. We will absolutely be
attending Cornell Wrestling Camp this summer! - Joe Benvenuti |
